Frequently Asked Questions
What materials are used to make enameled flat wire?
Enameled flat wire is made from oxygen-free copper or electrical aluminum rod. The conductor is drawn or extruded through specification moulds to achieve precise dimensions for use in electrical equipment windings.
What are the main applications of enameled flat wire?
Enameled flat wire is primarily used in the windings of electrical equipment such as transformers, reactors, and other high-performance electromagnetic devices where precise conductor geometry and reliable insulation are required.
What is the available production scope for conductor dimensions?
The conductor thickness (a) ranges from 0.80 mm to 5.60 mm, the conductor width (b) ranges from 2.00 mm to 16.00 mm, and the maximum conductor width ratio is 20:1. Custom specifications can also be manufactured based on customer requirements.
What are the differences between Grade 1 and Grade 2 paint film insulation?
Grade 1 paint film has an insulation thickness of 0.06–0.11 mm with a minimum breakdown voltage of 1000V at room temperature and 750V at high temperature. Grade 2 has a thickness of 0.12–0.17 mm with a minimum breakdown voltage of 2000V at room temperature and 1500V at high temperature.
Which type of enameled flat wire offers the highest thermal resistance?
The Polyamide imide enameled flat wire (QXY/QYB) offers the highest thermal level at 220°C, providing excellent chemical solvent resistance and making it suitable for the most demanding high-temperature applications.
Can enameled flat wire be produced to custom technical specifications?
Yes. In addition to the standard production scope, we are able to manufacture enameled flat wire according to specific technical specifications and mechanical strength grades (C1, C2, C3) provided by customers to meet unique application requirements.
